The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (“NGC”) wishes to thank the honorable Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar MP, SC, for her guidance , leadership , courage and strength throughout the process that led to the historic outcome, enabling NGC to acquire a 20% interest in the Manakin/Cocuina cross border natural gas field.
You started this process in February 2015 by the execution of the unitization agreement between the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the first cross-boarder gas field in the Western Hemisphere to be successfully unitized.
You completed the process in August 2026 to allow for this development to become a reality that will bring significant benefits to our citizens today and guarantee prosperity for future generations.
