The NGC Group joins Trinidad and Tobago in remembering Dr. Leroy Calliste, the inimitable Black Stalin.
Five-time Calypso Monarch and 1999 Calypso King of the World, Black Stalin was true calypso royalty. His distinctive brand of music, infused with clever political and social commentary, elevated his expansive repertoire. Through his music, he challenged, he champions, and he entertained. A masterful artist, his work was as intellectual as it was poetic.
We honour his legacy today, and will remember him always as we “…push one common intention for a better life in the region.”
