The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited (NGC) announces the successful
execution of another Gas Sales Contract (GSC) with downstream petrochemical producer,
Trinidad Nitrogen Company Limited (TRINGEN). TRINGEN is one of the longest-operating
ammonia producers on the Point Lisas Industrial Estate. The execution of this contract
reinforces the longstanding commercial relationship between the two companies, and
reaffirms their shared commitment to sustaining Trinidad and Tobago’s petrochemical
industry.
TRINGEN, a limited liability company, owned 51 per cent by National Enterprises Limited (NEL)
and 49 per cent by Yara Caribbean (2002) Ltd, is a leading manufacturer of anhydrous
ammonia, operating two independent production plants – TRINGEN I and TRINGEN II – as well
as a gas turbine power generation facility. Present at the signing were NGC Chairman Mr.
Gerald I. Ramdeen and President (Ag.), Mr. Edmund Subryan, alongside TRINGEN’s Chairman,
Mr. Emerson Chedee and Mr. Treveno Mowassie, Vice President, Operations.
