A delegation of senior executives from Ghana’s National Petroleum Authority’s (NPA’s) Unified Petroleum Pricing Fund (UPPF) Management Committee was hosted at NGC’s its Orinoco House in Point Lisas, on 13th June 2023.
The NPA regulates the petroleum downstream industry in Ghana to ensure that the industry remains efficient, profitable, and fair while ensuring that the consumers receive value for money. The technical department of the UPFF ensures that petroleum products are transported throughout Ghana in a manner that is simple, effective and inexpensive to operate administratively. Noting that there are some similarities in mandates and operational imperatives between NGC and NPA, the delegation visited NGC as part of a larger engagement with key energy stakeholders in Trinidad and Tobago.
The UPPF Management Committee participated in a working visit to Trinidad and Tobago to gain insights on Trinidad and Tobago’s energy industry, particularly in meeting its objectives for achieving an efficient petroleum supply chain in Ghana. The delegation sought to learn from the successes of the country’s downstream sector while studying its regulatory framework.
