On August 4th 2023, The NGC Group of Companies (NGC Group) had the honour of hosting a visiting delegation from Ghana led by His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, The Asantehene. The delegation included the Chairman of the Council of State of the Republic of Ghana, the Paramount Chief of Ashanti Juaben Traditional area, Paramount Chiefs, and Queen Mothers.
This visit is the latest in a series of engagements between The NGC Group and delegations from the African continent. Since 2006, NGC and its subsidiaries have been supporting the government-led ‘African Initiative’, which seeks to establish partnerships and leverage synergies with African energy-producing nations. The visit by this delegation symbolises the continuation and strengthening of that outreach, and advances the effort to deepen the relationship between Trinidad and Tobago and Ghana.
On August 4th, the delegation received a tour of the Point Lisas Industrial Estate and presentations on the Trinidad and Tobago energy sector. NGC also shared updates on its landmark project being delivered in Ghana, which involves the design, procurement, construction, and installation of a pressure regulator skid for the existing Takoradi Distribution Station (TDS).
