Sustainability permeates all aspects of The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited’s (NGC) business, including the methods used to create value through our operations, our interaction with our stakeholders, and our stewardship of the environment. As such, NGC is pleased to announce that it is the first company from Trinidad and Tobago, to be registered as a member of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Community.
Joining the GRI network, represents the latest of ‘first milestones’ in NGC’s strategy to build sustainability. The Company is the first, and still stands as the only, state-owned company to produce an annual Sustainability Report. This membership is a strategic move as NGC has, from its first report, adopted GRI standards as part of its sustainability reporting framework indicating the Company’s willingness to measure itself and perform against international standards.
