Denyse Plummer was one of Trinidad and Tobago’s most outstanding and decorated calypsonians. With her vibrant energy, golden voice and beautifully decorated costumes, she embodied the spirit of Carnival. As a homegrown company, a proud supporter of local arts and culture, we feel the loss of this daughter of our Trinbago soil deeply. Not only did Denyse bring the issues of our society to the fore through her lyrics, she broke the binds that held women from participating on the calypso stage and emerged a queen.
